GENRE
I mainly read books targeted for kids: Young Adult or Middle Grade books. Subgenres include Slice of Life (non-magical), Fantasy, Sci-fi, Thriller, Mystery, Drama, Historical Fiction, Horror and Humor. Dystopia used to be my top favorite, but I have enough of it by now. (May still read it on a whim).
I also read Non-Fiction books when I'm taking a break from reading same genres in one week.
Romance is my least favorite genre. Just make sure it's not the main genre in a story. If it's Non-Fiction, I'll gladly read it!
FORMAT
Ebooks. I read almost every format available as long as they're readable by Calibre, a free ebook library software. My phone runs Alreader app; it reads epub, mobi, html and txt formats.
Physical books. They are acceptable but I don't prefer it; just make sure the copies can be shipped to where I live. (I keep on changing my address.)
TIME
As of 2021, I try to finish at least one book per day. I try to finish 2 days on weekends. During sick days, I read 2-3 books, depending on how challenging the writing is or how short the pages are.
I prefer to read 200-300 pages. If the book exceeds 500 pages, it may take me 3 days to finish reading it.
I try to publish reviews within a week after posting that I finish a certain book.
RATING
I only post reviews with a rating range of 3 - 5 out of 5 stars. I do not want to discourage anyone from reading something I dislike, but I'm not willing to share a book I did not enjoy reading. Just check my Goodreads profile to see them.
